These lovely fair-trade jingle bells are handmade in Cambodian village foundries by families intent on transforming the scars of war into the sounds of peace.
Old landmines, spent shell casings and electrical wire are carefully melted and recast into these beautiful little bells. Villagers use the bells to adorn the harnesses of water buffalo, but we think their sweet melody sounds equally nice at weddings and receptions. Share a bell with each guest as a favor, and ask your friends and family to start ringing when they want to see the happy couple (that would be you!) share a kiss!
Each bell is approximately 1.25" tall and uniquely shaped with a patina that ranges from bright gold to iridescent copper. A graceful hook adorns the top of each ringer so that bells may be strung or attached to wands, ribbon, etc.
